On the 7th of July 2016 an informative event was co-organized by the Twinning Project and the Macedonian Inspection Council, with the support of the Secretariat for European Affairs, the EU Delegation and the Department for EU Affairs of the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning.
The purposes of the session were: (i) to show the example of the use that the State Environmental Inspectorate has made of several kinds of EU support (Twinning and Supply Contract) to increase its capacity, (ii) to raise awareness in the Macedonian Inspectorates about the different kinds of existing EU-funded tools (Twinning, Technical Assistance, TAIEX…) available for them, and (iii) to inform them about the key stakeholders involved and sources of information available in case they would be interested in requesting some EU support.
The audience included representatives from Macedonian Inspectorates, and staff of the EU Departments or Units of the correspoding Ministries or State Bodies related to the Inspectorates.
