During the mission that was held in the period 20th – 24th of April 2015, Spanish expert Mr. Jesús Ángel Ocio and Dutch expert Mr. Cees Braams held several workshops in order to share with stakeholders key conclusions from the assessment of the current environmental inspection & enforcement system made by experts in missions 1.1.1 & 1.1.2. Different stakeholders, including local authorised environmental inspectors, staff from sectors of environment in municipalities, Ministry for Local Self-Government and representatives from ZELS, from companies (IPPC A/ IPPC B/ Elaborates), from Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning (Departments for EIA, IPPC, Seveso, EU) and from civil society had opportunity in separate meetings to discuss with experts proposals for improvement of the environmental inspection & enforcement system. Feedback to the questionnaire distributed in March was as well used.
As a result of the mission a report with main conclusions extracted from the workshop, was delivered, to serve as basis, together with the assessment report of mission 1.1.2, to prepare proposals for improvement of the environmental inspection & enforcement system in following missions.
